El tag DEXA empezó en el 2000, en principio por la simple unión de las letras que me gustan, y tambien por la importancia de que se pudiese leer bien, con un nombre fácil de recordar.

What do you try to say with your graffiti?
Lo que quiero mostrar a la gente (a pesar de que pinto para mi mismo) es que pintar graffiti, tanto legal como ilegal, lleva consigo una gran técnica aplicada, mucho años de experiencia y mucho tiempo malgastado en papel y bocetos. Un concepto muy dificil para que la sociedad lo entienda. Ellos creen que es simplemente llegar ahi y que ya esta hecho, sin un previo estudio. No tenemos ningun apoyo si la poblacion nos llama la mayoria del tiempo irresponsables y delincuentes.
What I want to show people (despiste the fact that I paint for myself) is that painting a legal ou illegal graffiti have a lot of technique applied to it, many years of experience and much time wasted on paper and scribbling. A perception very difficult for society to understand. They think that is just get there and is done without prior study, we have no support if the population and most of the time they called us irresponsible and delinquents.
Utilizó muchas marcas de spray pero MTN Hardcore es desde luego mi favorita. Para mi, son los mejores botes para bombing. La habilidad de relleno y trazo es brillante.
I used many brands of spray cans but MTN HardCore is certainly my favorite.
To me, they are the best cans for bombing. the ability to fill and stroke is brilliant.
¿Qué fue lo que te impulsó a coger un spray y a ponerte a pintar en las calles?
What did you drive to catch a spray and get to work in the streets?
Lo que me llevo a pintar en las calles fue como el ver mis obras en las paredes, ver mi nombre en varios sitios, hacer de las calles un sitio especial, tomar nota de todo y ser siempre diferente. siempre hay algo nuevo en algun lugar. Basicamente, no pasar por las calles simplemente para llegar a tu destino, sino tambien tener muchas cosas a las que mirar.
What led me to paint on the streets was like to see my work on the walls, see my name in several places, making the streets a special place, to make note of everything and be always different. there are always something new somewhere. Basically, not pass on the streets just to reach the destination but have many things to look.

Graffiti... ¿cantidad o calidad?
Gaffiti .... quantity or quality?
Divido mi forma de pintar en diferentes partes y nunca las mezclo, porque trato de alcanzar la fama con la mayor calidad posible. Pero cuando hago bombing, trato de hacer todo el graffiti que puedo. Asi que... no puedo responder con solo una palabra a esa pregunta, porque para mi cantidad y calidad tienen la misma importancia.
I split my way of paiting in different parts and never mix them because I try to make fame with the most possible quality. But when bombing I try to make the most I can. So, I can't answer in only one word to that question, because for me quantity and quality have the same importance.
¿Crees que la sociedad acepta el graffiti?

Definitivamente, no. La sociedad acepta relativamente bien el "graffiti comercial", hecho para complacer a todo el mundo, pero no el graffiti verdadero. Puedes pegarte dos o tres dias trabajando en tu pieza, llena de detalles, pero si no tienes el estilo, el color o una imagen conocida, a la gente no le gusta. Para ellos es basura.
Definitely not. The society accepts rather well the "commercial graffiti" done to please everyone, not the real graffiti. You can be two or three day working your piece, full of details but if you don't have the style, the color or a known image the people don't like it. For them is rubbish.
My stile don't have a pre-defined name, but has some key points as thick lines and many straight lines, I try always to make it a balanced piece. I also have many pieces in 3D, it's a style that I'm identify a lot, but lately I don't use much.

The tag DEXA started in 2000, initially for the simple reason of join the letters that I like, most at the same time the importance of well-read, with a name easy to remember.

No tenemos ningun apoyo si la poblacion nos llama la mayoria del tiempo irresponsables y delincuentes.

What is the style you use?
My stile don't have a pre-defined name, but has some key points as thick lines and many straight lines, I try always to make it a balanced piece. I also have many pieces in 3D, it's a style that I'm identify a lot, but lately I don't use much.
¿Puedes hablar del graffiti en tu país?
Can you talk about this as the graffiti in your country?
El graffiti en mi país no se toma en serio, pero tenemos muy buenas crews y escritores que podrían competir con el graffiti en Europa, pero sigue siendo un proceso creciente. Todavía tenemos un pequeño número de escritores, pero aún así, podemos ver algunas ciudades como Lisboa y Oporto con buenos graffitis, incluso más que algunas ciudades europeas con mucho nivel de graffiti.
The graffiti in my country is not taken seriously, but we have some very good crews and good writers who could compety with european graffiti, but is still a growing process. We still have a small number of writers, but even so, we can see a few cities such as Lisbon and Porto with good graffiti even more than some european cities of much higher lever of graffiti.
