Why is your tag NAYADE?
Pues es un nombre mitológico, las nayades son ninfas del agua. Me gustó el nombre cuando lo vi en un libro y decidí que seria mi apodo, me gusta su significado y como suena fonéticamente.
It's a mythological name, the naiads are water nymphs. I liked the name when I saw it in a book and I decided that it would be my alias, I like its meaning and how it sounds phoneticly.
¿Qué fue lo que te motivo para coger un spray y ponerte a pintar en la calle?
What made you grab a spray and start painting on the streets?
Pues como ya te dije, soy de Mollet del Vallés (Barcelona) y desde pequeña he estado viendo los graffitis en mi barrio, dado que un grupo muy famoso de graffiteros " La gran PDM " eran de allí.
Entonces es algo que siempre me gustó y yo desde pequeña que empecé a dibujar, los primeros recuerdos que tengo de mi infancia ya dibujaba, jejeej
y en el año 99 conocí a Skiny, un miembro de la PDM, y me fui introduciendo en el mundo del graffiti ,pues hasta entonces solo bombardeaba y boceteaba esperando que llegase el día de por fin pintar en pared.
As I told you, I'm from Mollet del Valles (Barcelona) and since I was a kid I've been seeing graffiti in my quarter, due to the fact that a group of famous writters, "La Gran PDM" where from there.
Due to that, it's something that I've always liked, and when I was little I started drawing. In the first memories I've got of my childhood, I already drew, hehe.
And in the year 99 I met Skiny, a member of PDM, and I got myself in graffiti's world. Before that, I only bombed and sketched, waiting for the day in which I could finally paint on walls.
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
Basicamente realismo, con toques urbanos y femeninos.
Realism basically, with urban and feminine touches.
¿Que tratas de decir con tus graffitis?
What you try to say with your graffiti?
Pues intento transmitir las expresiones o sentimientos, además de la belleza y la cultura del hip hop.
A parte de todo eso es una especie de liberacion, no se , sacar lo que llebas dentro pero basicamente pinto porque AMO el Graffiti.
I try to transmit expressions or feelings, apart from beauty and hip hop culture.
Apart from all this, it's like a sort of liberation, I don't know, like taking out what you've got inside.
But I basically paint because I LOVE graffiti.
¿Purismo o nuevas tendencias?
Purism or news tendencies?
Pues una mezcla de ambas cosas, del purismo me quedo con lo clasico y de las nuevas tendecias lo que es más transgresor, de las mezclas surgen las mejores ideas.
It's a mixture of both things, y like clasicism in purism and from new tendencies, I prefer what's more transgressor. Best ideas arise from mixtures.
Graffiti.....¿Calidad o Cantidad?
Graffiti .... Quantity or Quality?
Sobre todo lo principal es la calidad, la cantidad es lo que uno decida hacer , hay tambien epocas mas creativas en las que producimos mas obras.
pero lo importante es la calidad.
Quality is the principal thing. Quantity is what one decides to do. There are also more creative periods in which we produce more work, but the important thing is quality.
¿Nos podrías dar algún consejo para ser igual de bueno que tu en este arte?
Please provide some tips to be just as good for you with this art?
Pues primero que ames el arte del graffiti, y que siempre disfrutes de lo que estas haciendo el resto es practica, muchas horas de bocetos y horas de manejo con el spray el tiempo y la practica hacen la evolucion.
First of all is that you must love art of graffiti, and that you always enjoy what you are doing. The rest of it is practice, a lot of hours of sketches and of work with spray cans. Time and practice make the evolution.
¿Cómo se define NAYADE a la hora de hacer graffiti ?
How does NAYADE define himself on his way of doing graffiti?
Pues Nayade cuando pinta se aisla del mundo jaja me centro en lo que estoy pintando, no se , en esos momentos soy realmente "yo" soy muy perfeccionista, intento plasmarlo todo en el muro.
Nayade gets shut off from the world when she paints , haha. I concentrate on what I'm painting, I don't know, in that moment I'm really "me".. I'm very perfectionist and I try to represent it on the wall.
¿Qué destacarías del graffiti español?
What would you point up of spanish graffiti?
Que esta en plena alza, hay un nivelazo del graffiti en españa increible ademas que en el panorama español de graffiti tenemos gente buenisima y de todos los estilos
eso es realmente espectacular.
I think that it is in its full advance. There is an enormours level of graffiti in Spain. There is also the thing that in the spanish graffiti's panorama we have really good people and from all styles. That is really spectacular.
¿Piensas que la sociedad acepta el graffiti?
Do you think that society accepts the graffiti?
Este es un tema muy controvertido La gente suele tener distintas visiones y percepciones del graffiti, los hay que estan en contra porque para ellos el graffiti es el bombardeo, otros sin en cambio, están a favor de los graffitis murales. De echo el graffiti lo es todo es el conjunto de todo ello unido a la cultura, nuestra forma de vida, pero la gente que no esta en este mundillo no lo entiende. Pero en general creo que se va aceptando cada vez mas y se ve más como arte.
This is a very disputable topic. People have different points of view from graffiti. In one hand there are some who are against it because graffiti por them is only bombing, and in the other hand there is the people who are on behalf of graffiti walls. In fact, graffiti is everything, is the union of all of it with the culture, our way of life; but people who don't live in this "little world" of graffiti don't understand it. But, in general, I think graffiti is getting more and more accepted, and it's beggining to be seen as art.

Pues me parece una idea fantastica, la verdad que he de agradecer a la gente que me presta su apoyo difundiendo mi arte, es un gesto muy generoso y desinteresado. Gracias. Pues decir a todos los que empiecen a pintar que sigan adelante si es lo que quieren.Agradecer el apoyo a toda la gente que ha confiado en mi en todo este tiempo, a mi familia, por apoyarme siempre, desde que empece a pintar cuando solo tenia 16 años; a la gente que hace posible toda la difusion de mi obra GRACIAS.

Basicamente realismo, con toques urbanos y femeninos.

Pues intento transmitir las expresiones o sentimientos, además de la belleza y la cultura del hip hop.
A parte de todo eso es una especie de liberacion, no se , sacar lo que llebas dentro pero basicamente pinto porque AMO el Graffiti.

¿Purismo o nuevas tendencias?Purism or news tendencies?
Pues una mezcla de ambas cosas, del purismo me quedo con lo clasico y de las nuevas tendecias lo que es más transgresor, de las mezclas surgen las mejores ideas.
It's a mixture of both things, y like clasicism in purism and from new tendencies, I prefer what's more transgressor. Best ideas arise from mixtures.

Sobre todo lo principal es la calidad, la cantidad es lo que uno decida hacer , hay tambien epocas mas creativas en las que producimos mas obras.
pero lo importante es la calidad.
Quality is the principal thing. Quantity is what one decides to do. There are also more creative periods in which we produce more work, but the important thing is quality.

Pues primero que ames el arte del graffiti, y que siempre disfrutes de lo que estas haciendo el resto es practica, muchas horas de bocetos y horas de manejo con el spray el tiempo y la practica hacen la evolucion.
